Tuesday through Thursday Evenings and Sunday Afternoons At Saanich Commonwealth Place
Unleash the thrill of Competitive Water Polo, where fun meets challenge, and supreme physical fitness is the goal. Saanich Water Polo School (SWPS) invites aspiring athletes to experience the excitement through our ongoing free tryouts. Our introductory programs seamlessly ease newcomers into the dynamic world of competitive water polo.

Prerequisites
To enroll, participants should be confident swimming and treading in the deep pool - Fill out the form at the bottom of this page to schedule a free assessment / placement try out!
Children expressing interest in competitive water polo find their place in the SWPS U8, U10, U12 Competitive Program. For middle and high school students, we assess swimming ability, placing them into appropriate practice groups. As they progress, they transition into competitive age groups:
U12 (Atom Co-ED)
U14 (Bantam Gender Specific)
U16 (Cadet Gender Specific)
U19 (Youth Gender Specific)
Parents can schedule a placement test for their child at any time.
Competitive programs run September to June at Commonwealth Place. Try Outs/Registration is continuous Join the ranks of competitive water polo enthusiasts at SWPS. Check our schedule for training times and practice groups:
U12 Atom Grade 4-6: Tuesday & Thursday 7:00- 8:15 pm; Sunday 4:30-6:00 pm
U14 Bantam Grade 6-8: Tuesday & Thursday 7:00- 8:45 pm; Sunday 4:30-6:00 pm
High School U16 Cadet: Tuesday & Thursday 7:00- 8:45 pm; Wednesday 7:30- 8:45 pm; Sunday 4:30-6:00 pm
U19 Youth: Tuesday & Thursday 7:00- 8:45 pm; Wednesday 7:30- 8:45 pm; Sunday 4:30-6:00 pm

Commonwealth Place Legacy
Commonwealth Place has been the starting point for many water polo stars, including those who began their careers with Minipolo. Our sessions are conducted by nationally certified Saanich Water Polo School coaches, ensuring a high standard of instruction.
